Importance of Wildlife Strike Reporting
Your report is important to us. It allows us to analyze the conditions that contributed to wildlife presence and incidents with aircraft.
Legal Documentation
- Online forms comply with Resolution No.009-16-DJ-DG-AAC.
- This report must be made immediately.
- Submitting the form does not exempt notifying Air Traffic Services.
- Allows Wildlife Control staff to collect timely samples (blood, tissue, feathers) for DNA identification.

In compliance with the recommendations set out by ICAO and Panama's Civil Aviation Authority, Tocumen International Airport runs a wildlife control and management program across every airport administered by Tocumen S.A., with the main objective of reducing and mitigating the risk wildlife poses to operational safety.

- 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Observations
Tocumen International Airport is located along migratory routes of raptors, which is why we maintain a national early warning network for migratory birds. This system issues timely alerts to air traffic personnel, the operational management center, airlines, the Civil Aviation Authority (AAC), handlers, and aeronautical staff regarding the passage of these species through the Isthmus.
